What A Commercial Fit Out Shoot Covers
Exterior and signage for the landlord, finished rooms for the practice, and the joinery detail the contractor needs.
One Fit Out Shoot, Three Different Briefs
A commercial fit out gets photographed once and used by three different people. The practice wants images for its website and its Google listing. The contractor wants a finished project for their own portfolio. The landlord wants the suite documented. All three briefs are met on the same visit, or the client pays for the shoot twice.
What three briefs change about the shoot
It changes the shot list more than the technique. The practice needs the rooms a client will actually stand in: reception, the consult rooms, the waiting area. The contractor needs the parts that show the work, which is usually the joinery, the ceiling and the services runs. The landlord needs the envelope and the exterior.
So the list is longer than a residential shoot and the sequencing matters, because a working clinic cannot be emptied for a photographer. We shoot the public rooms first, before the day starts, then work back through the treatment areas between appointments.
Lighting a clinic full of equipment
Clinical spaces are lit for the work, not for a camera. Overhead fluorescents and surgical lamps are a different color temperature from the daylight coming through the glazing, and a single exposure gives you either green cabinetry or blue windows. Every frame here is blended, and the color is neutralized so the cabinet finishes read as the color they actually are.
Booked as commercial property photography. Exterior aerials are available on the same visit where the airspace allows it.
