Two Austin Photographers, One Camera, A Lot Of Driving

ZABE Media started with two of us, one camera and a lot of driving around Austin. Every gallery is still reviewed using our ZABE Standard before it goes out, which is exactly why the quality does not drift from listing to listing.

Between us we have photographed everything from 600 square foot condos on Rainey Street to ranch land outside Bastrop. We know which rooms sell a house, which time of day a west facing back yard actually looks good, and how to keep a shoot moving when the seller is still packing.

We are FAA Part 107 certified, affiliate members of the Austin Board of REALTORS with Supra lockbox access, and you will always reach a real member of the ZABE team who knows the business.

Why Every Gallery Meets The ZABE Standard

Most real estate photography companies of any size run on a roster of contract shooters. It is the obvious way to scale, and it is also why so many agents have a story about the one listing that came back looking completely different from the last five.

We run it differently. Every gallery is reviewed using our ZABE Standard before delivery, whoever was holding the camera that day. The trade is that every gallery you get from us looks like every other gallery you have had from us, and your listings read as a consistent brand rather than whoever was available.

It also means that when something goes wrong, and occasionally something does, it goes straight to someone on the ZABE team who knows the business and can fix it, not a dispatcher.

What we are actually good at

Listing media. Photography, drone, 3D tours, video, floor plans and the marketing assets that come off the back of them. That is the whole business and we would rather be genuinely good at it than adequate at everything.

We do shoot agent headshots and brokerage events, mostly for clients we already shoot listings for, and we do them well. But if you need a dedicated event photographer for a four hundred person conference, there are specialists who do nothing else, and we will point you at one rather than take the booking.

The things we will not do

  • Stretch rooms with an ultra wide lens. It photographs well and it disappoints in person, and you are the one standing there when it does.
  • Deliver an undisclosed digitally altered image. Virtually staged and virtual twilight images can be clearly labeled on delivery to help you meet applicable disclosure requirements.
  • Photograph a waterline that is not there. Lake Travis levels move. We shoot the lake as it is on the day.
  • Fly without a license. Every aerial shoot is flown Part 107 certified with the airspace checked. Uncertified commercial flights are more common in this market than they should be, and the liability lands on you as much as the pilot.

Where we shoot

We are based in Austin and shoot across sixteen Central Texas cities, from Georgetown in the north to Kyle in the south and Bastrop in the east, with travel included in every package.

Part 107FAA certified remote pilots. Airspace checked and LAANC authorization requested for every address that needs it.

We are a founder led South Austin company, which means the team you book with is accountable for the result. The map below is the area we can reach and still be back to edit the same night, and travel anywhere on it is included.

About ZABE Media

Who is responsible for my shoot?
The ZABE team. Whoever holds the camera on the day, every gallery is reviewed using our ZABE Standard before delivery. That is the reason the quality does not drift from listing to listing, and the reason a problem goes straight to someone who can fix it.
Are you licensed to fly drones commercially?
Yes. We hold FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification, which is the license required for any commercial drone flight in the United States. We check airspace before every flight and request LAANC authorization for the controlled airspace around Austin Bergstrom where it is needed.
Are you members of the Austin Board of REALTORS?
Yes, we are ABoR affiliate members, and we have Supra lockbox access, which means we can let ourselves into a listing on a Supra box without you having to meet us. Membership keeps us close to the agents and brokerages we work for, and it means we keep up with MLS rules that affect what we deliver, including image sizing and disclosure requirements on digitally altered photographs.

What happens if something goes wrong on a shoot?
You call us and we fix it. Every package carries a one week money back guarantee, but in practice almost nothing gets refunded because we would much rather reshoot or re edit than take the money back. Tell us what is wrong first.
