Why The Shot List Changes By Property Type

The cameras are the same. The shot list is not. What changes between property types is what the buyer is trying to work out, and the photography has to answer that specific question.

A residential buyer wants to know what the rooms are like and how they connect. A commercial tenant wants to see the clear height, column spacing and layout before they want anything else. A land buyer wants parcel shape, terrain, water and access, none of which is visible from the ground. A rental guest wants to know what a weekend there feels like. Photographing all four the same way would fail three of them.

These pages exist so you can see what actually changes, rather than being sold one package and told it fits everything.

Questions About Property Types

Why does the property type change the shoot?
Because it changes what the buyer is trying to find out. A residential buyer wants to know what the rooms are like. A commercial tenant wants to see the layout and the clear height. A land buyer wants shape, terrain and water. A rental guest wants to know what a weekend there feels like. Same cameras, completely different shot lists.
What if my property does not fit any of these?
Call us and describe it. Most properties fit one of these closely enough, and the ones that do not are usually interesting. We would rather scope it properly on the phone than have you guess at a package that does not fit.
Which property types are quoted rather than packaged?
Commercial, ranch and land, multifamily communities, luxury homes and event coverage. The variables on those, whether that is acreage, unit type count or how many visits a property needs, move too much for a fixed package price to be honest. Residential, new construction and short term rentals usually fit the published packages.
Do you do ongoing work for builders and property managers?
Yes, and it works much better than booking job by job. We agree a shoot standard once and run it across every home or every community, which is what keeps a builder site or a management portfolio looking consistent. Those programs are quoted per community. Get in touch.
